ava's first day of kindergarten...

Today was a VERY big day for miss ava.  She had her first day of kindergarten.  Her teachers name is Mrs. Kearney (room K03!!!)  Last week we were able to go in for 15 minutes and have one on one time with her teacher.  We were able to take all of her supplies, snacks, and other school things in and get her all moved in.  It was a great visit with her teacher and I was able to get a lot of paperwork filled out so we would be ready to go when the 1st day of school would arrive.

 In the last month we have been trying to get Ava a little excited about going to school but nothing was working.  She was not very excited about leaving her brother, Izzi and Wyatt at daycare while she went to school.  People would ask her if she was excited and she would reply by saying "oh blah blah"...no joke...this girl was NOT very excited about school.  She refused to pick out a back pack for school until 3 weeks before and then the one she picked out was back ordered because we waited to long.  After her visit with her teacher things were looking up and she was getting more and more excited!!!

 We are very lucky to live very close to school.  We were able to walk to school this morning with Ava .  On the walk to school I made sure to tell Ava to make sure that she was nice to everyone in her class and made her promise me that she would have fun and try to make lots of new friends.  As soon as we got to school she asked me if she needed to come back here tomorrow...I giggled and told her that she would be coming back here for the next 12 years...THEN another 4 after that!

Five minutes after we left Ava at school Kye asked if we could go and get her...heartbreaking...

there she goes...right after I took this picture she turned around with big eyes...probably wondering what she was entering into.  When we went to get her after school, right away we asked her how her day went and what she all did and she responded by saying "I don't remember"...hmm this might be a long year!  It amazes me how fast the last 5 years have gone.  It brings tears to my eyes that I can close my eyes and take myself back to the day she was born, I can remember the exact way I felt when I held her for the first time and how much love I felt for her the first time I saw her and now she is in school.  She has such a good heart and I know she will be a good student and a good friend.  Jolin and I are beyond excited to be with her every step of her life and cant wait to see the person she grows up to be.

Ava & Kye had their Valentine's day parties school/daycare. Of course they came home with LOTS of goodies!!! They each got beautiful valentines from mommy&daddy, gma&gpa schweitzberger & great gma & great gpa carlson!!!

We have a very busy week ahead of us. Miss Ava will be celebrating her 5th birthday this next weekend(rainbow brite style) Her auntie Heather & Uncle Tony will be making the drive to come and help celebrate!!! We are VERY excited to see them again!

I must add that we are all anxiously awaiting for the arrival of baby-boy-schweitzberger!!! I am praying that his arrival will be able to put my baby fever on the back burner...because holy hell I am BEGGING for another baby practically every day!!! Jolin has been VERY VERY busy at work and the traveling is going well. We have adjusted very well as a family and the only thing that has changed is that we are very selfish with our weekends now. We try to spend as much time together as we can since he doesn't get to see the kids(and me) as much anymore. But we also try to let him out of the house to spend time with his guys ;)

ultimate dance- dance team glitter

Ava is in dance team this year and LOVES it. They do a pom & jazz routine. Like I have mentioned before we practically threw Ava into dance for the sole reason that Jolin and I have no moves that are worth watching on a dance floor. So we thought the only way to make sure that Ava is not a wallflower is to start her in dance as early as possible and make her as comfortable as possible in a setting that is worth enjoying. Thank goodness she loves it!!! I must add she rocks and has proven that maybe all Jolin and I need are a few lessons ;)

We have our last dance team competition on March 31st in Sioux Falls. Then we will have her tap&ballet recital in May. We are spending many nights at the dance studio (every Tuesday & Thursday night) so thanks to my parents & em they help with Kye so he doesn't have to hang out at dance too.

Disney Princess Date

Katie & I took Ava & Hadley to Disney Live- 3 Princess Stories. They had a blast! (So did Katie & I) There was just a few parts where Ava & Hadley got a little scared. I mean who doesn't think the witch in Snow White or those evil step-sisters in Cinderella OR the Beast in Beauty in the Beast are just a tad bit scary?!?! I do wonder why EVERY Disney movie has a meanie in them?!

we rang in the new year with a few of our FAVORITE people!!! Auntie Heather & Uncle Tony came to visit us! It was a great visit and we can not wait for another visit!!! We took everyone out to great bear to go tubing. i still can not believe that we do not have snow like we have had in the past but i guess we will just have to deal with the home made stuff =) it was a great afternoon and we all had lots of laughs!!!
